8 Days from Tangier to Marrakech and Merzouga

Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

After arriving in Tangier we pick you up at the port or airport. We leave for Chauen making a stop in the city of Tetouan, called the Spanish city. In the afternoon arrival to Chefchaouen, where we will guide you for a complete visit to the blue city. Walk through its narrow streets and old houses painted in its blue and white blue contemplating also its beautiful panoramic views. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Chauen Square.

Day 2 : Chefchaouen – Roman Ruin – Meknes – Fez :

In the morning departure through the mountain villages of Jbala. After about 4 hours of travel, we arrive in Fez, one of the four imperial cities named by Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat. Fez is considered the most important religious and cultural center of Morocco. Night in riad or hotel.

Day 3 : Fez – Fez :

Full day dedicated to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. We will visit many monuments, we also recommend hiring an official guide, who will show you the most interesting places, such as: Medersas (Koranic schools): Chahrij , Bouinania Attarin , souk , Fes El-Jadid , Karaouine Mosque (the first university in the world). It is very curious to visit the leather tanners’ quarter, where you can appreciate the craftsmanship. Overnight in the hotel or Riad.

Day 4 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Monkey forest – Erfoud – desert :

From Fes we go to the Middle Atlas, we visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa, we visit the Berber village of Azrou, known for its handicrafts, carpets and wood carvings, then we arrive in Midelt (the route is followed by the Tizi Talghemt or Neck Camella, at 1907 m of altitude). The landscape is impressive, the mountains are completely bare, covered with a purple mantle. After reaching Errachidia we cross the solid palm of Tafilalet to Erfoud. We spend the night in a Berber camp in the desert.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorge, Valley of the Roses, Skoura Palm Grove – Ouarzazate:

We leave for Rissani, then for the Ksar of Touroug framed by a spectacular oasis. Then we arrive at Tinejdad Tinerhir and after lunch we walk through the Todra Gorges. Then we pass through the beautiful Dades Boulmane Valley and visit Kelâa I – Gouna – Valley of the Roses, in full bloom during the month of May. We arrive in Ouarzazate, we visit the Kasbah ,and there is a possibility to visit Taourirt which was the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Talouet – Marrakech:

We will go to Marrakech through Tiz -in- pass (2260m) We will have the option to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (UNESCO heritage). Then we continue our journey to the capital of the Pasha of Marrakech visiting its kasbah Talouet. We will take the curves of the road from the port of Tichkaque which offers a spectacular panorama with many colors in the plain of Haouz. We arrived in Marrakech.

Day 7 : Marrakech – Marrakech:

We will have a morning tour of the city. Its destiny is linked to that of the different dynasties that follow one another and its tradition as a political, economic and cultural metropolis has always dominated the history of the Maghreb. In the city of Marrakech you can also see the famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which for several centuries has been the most amazing world of popular theatre: snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, fortune tellers, entertainers, fortune tellers. In Marrakech there are countless places to visit, for example, the Ben Yussef Medersa, the Menara, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal garden, the Saadian Tombs and the El Badi and Bahia Palaces… in the afternoon and dinner in the famous square. Night in Riyadh.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport:

Transfer to the airport and end of your incredible 8 day trip to Morocco from Tangier to Marrakech through the services of Chefchaouen and Merzouga.
