Guided tour with a local guide through the markets (souks), visit to the Jemma el Fna Square (it is the heart of the medina, very busy and full of life at all hours of the day, we can also find snake charmers, musicians, storytellers, visionaries and many typical Moroccan food stalls), the Koutoubia Mosque (from the Almohad period, 12th century, beautiful gardens and outstanding minaret, twin sister of the Giralda of Seville-Spain), the Tombs of Saadies (composed of three luxurious mausoleums, made of Carrara marble, carved cedar and plaster mouldings), the Majorelle Gardens (work of the painter Jackes Majorelle in 1.920, is home to a large number of plant species. It was renovated by Yves Saint-Laurent four decades later), the Royal Palace.
Departure with the guide in 4×4 direction South. We will cross the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass 2.600m, until we reach the most famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a beautiful walled medina that served as a military defense and where several international films were shot such as Obilx, Gladiator, Sahara… Lunch and drive to Dades Gorges via the Valley of Roses.
Breakfast and departure to the desert, before we visit the spectacular Todra Gorges then continue the journey to Merzouga stopping along the way, finally arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
We’ll get up early to watch the sunrise from the top of the big dune. Breakfast and a new desert day with beautiful landscapes, the Oasis of Merzouga, the village of the Blacks, the ruins of the French Fortress of Mifis, nomads in tents and the village and the Oasis of Tissardmine. Arrival at the hostel where we will change the 4×4 for the dromedaries. We will cross the dunes until we reach the remote camp of Jaimas situated in the heart of the desert. Magical dinner set to the music of drums and the Berber songs of the place. We will sleep under the starry night accompanied by the silence of the desert.
After watching the sunrise, a shower and a good breakfast. We leave for Rissani to visit its authentic market and continue the journey towards the Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees and its Berber villages until we reach Ouarzazate.
Breakfast and departure to Essaouira again by the High Atlas, crossing Marrakech to arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon and visit its medina, and its beach.
Free day in Essaouira, rest from the trip, walk around the port, on the beach. In the afternoon we will leave for Marrakech, stopping at the Souss-Massa National Park, declared in 1998 Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve, to see the famous argan trees and their goats which climb up to eat their thorny leaves. Then we will leave for Marrakech.
After breakfast we will go to the airport according to the scheduled flight time.
